About
This film documentary is part music, part unflinching character study and part punk version of 'A Christmas Carol' as Dunstan Bruce of CHUMBAWAMBA faces TUBTHUMPING, the uncompromising and brutally honest ghost of 'the better times'.
Dunstan takes us on an epic journey from the anarchist squats of Leeds to Madison Square Gardens and to the depths of despair before he determines to try to make sense of it all and get back up again.
It's the frank, funny, surreal and deeply human story of the most successful anarchist music experiment of all time.
Film screening at 7pm followed by a Q&A session with Dunstan himself, and the film's producer Sophie Robinson.
Tickets £8, please call 01782 232323 or email MuseumEvents@stoke.gov.uk to book. Bar opens at 6.30pm with an interval at 8pm.
The film does contain some strong language and some scenes of nudity. Over 18s only.
