Join us as we celebrate the Festival of Archaeology with a range of events and activities.
Discover what life was like for an Anglo-Saxon family and see how children lived, worked, and learned during this period.
Participate in a free drop-in creative writing workshop with award-winning author Jane Smith will help you take inspiration from the archaeology and Staffordshire Hoard galleries to write your own piece of poetry, prose or fiction.
Create your own Anglo-Saxon Pot from clay, inspired by our collection and decorate it the Runic Alphabet.
Drop in 11am -12.30pm and 1.30 - 3pm. £3.
All children to be accompanied by an adult.
Enjoy a display on our Foyer from Stoke-on-Trent Museums Archaeological Society. Find out more about their activities and see finds from their excavations including their ongoing work at Hilderstone.
